Cabin Fever!
With over 235 years combined musical experience and the incredible
horn stylings of Dean Dewees, Cabin Fever is sure to thrill the
ears of young and old alike. Playing an eclectic mix of jazz,
blues and classic favorites from the 1920's through the 1970's,
as well as an original composition or two, an evening with Cabin
Fever is a cultural treasure you will always remember.
Dean's highly nuanced horn playing will take you back to yesteryear,
when truly great musicians still graced the airwaves. Every concert
this gifted musician plays is a "can't miss" concert.
Dean has played with such greats as Louis Armstrong, The Inkspots,
Stan Borenson, and Lawrence Welk, and it clearly shows with every
note he plays. He also performed numerous times on The Ted Mack
Show, winning numerous awards.
Ray's piano playing is nothing short of virtuoso. When he plays
"Flight of the Bumble Bee Boogie", it is hard to believe
that any person could move his fingers so quickly and precisely,
let alone a gentleman in his mid-seventies. And no one on this
planet plays honky-tonk piano with as much heart and soul as Ray.
After concerts, people often come up and count Ray's fingers--several
times--refusing to believe that he has only ten. Honest, he's
that good.
Paul Graves is an accomplished guitarist, excelling in many different
styles of music. He has played with countless Northwest bands,
released several CD's, and is currently working on a solo CD.
Paul's lively and fluid solos on "Red House" take blues
guitar playing to a higher level, while his incredible arrangement
of "Over The Rainbow" provides a perfect backdrop for
Dean's virtuoso trumpet playing.
Roger Dewees not only excels on drums and percussion, but also
has a warm enchanting voice that helps create that distinctive
“Cabin Fever” sound. Roger has played with numerous
great bands, including The
Chessmen (1961-1962, Hoquiam, WA), The Raindrops (one of Dean’s
early bands), navy dance bands, and several rock bands. His drum
style is similar to Buddy Rich and Gene Krupa, and he really gets
the crowd going with his solos.
Bill Allyn (bass and drums) has played with numerous northwest
bands including Partner, Second Nature, Ben and The Geriatrix,
Fossil, and Springwater, releasing numerous CD’s along the
way. Bill also doubles as the band’s soundman and recording
engineer, graphics designer, web designer, media and print guru,
videographer, and all-around techie sort of guy, and also works
on bookings and promotion.
