Roughcut Studio

Roughcut Studio

is the Easton Brother's personal recording facility. Located in scenic Eastford, CT, it is a relaxing environment

for creating music. It was built in 2000, and was built specifically to be a recording studio.

The playing room

is approximately 15 X 20 feet in length with a nine-foot ceiling. It has enough room to accommodate a small band. The control/mixing room

is approximately 8 x 15 feet. The two rooms are separated by a wall with a doorway and large plexiglass window for a clear view between the musicians and the engineer. The playing room contains the Easton Brother's gear.
This includes two

drum kits,

several guitar amps,

bass amps,

and a vintage B-2 organ.

There is also a complete PA system for live rehearsal.

The control room contains a state of the art computer system

running the latest recording software DAWs. Everything is recorded into and mixed in the computer. We feel this is the most efficient way to work to get the best sound possible with the most control. We can accommodate eight analog I/O plus one midi in and two midi out. The board (Board and Monitor) is a 32 channel digital mixer with automation and allows us separate mixes for monitoring headphones while recording, and allows us to add effects to the headphone mix for a pleasant sound while the recording signal is unaffected.

We also have many of the latest effects software programs as well as mastering programs for tweaking the final mix. Along with an ample collection of recording microphones, Roughcut Studio is equipped to record everything from demos to full CD projects.
